When you take a moment to sip a cup of Spirit Bear Coffee, you're not just indulging in a robust brew. You're becoming a part of a story rooted deeply in the traditions and landscapes of the West Coast, a tale that's intertwined with the commitment to wildlife and our Earth. Specifically, you’re aiding the magnificent mission of Northern Lights Wildlife.

A Roaring Effort for Northern Lights Wildlife

Located in the heart of British Columbia, the Northern Lights Wildlife Society is more than just a facility. It's a haven. They specialize in the rehab and release of young injured and orphaned wildlife, with a keen focus on bear, moose, and deer rehabilitation. For many of these creatures, it's a second chance at life, a beacon of hope glowing as bright as the northern lights themselves.

Bearing the Weight Together

As we brew our passion into every cup, we also recognize the need to give back. It's why Spirit Bear Coffee proudly supported the "Remote Release Bear Box" program in 2021. The success was no small beans! Thanks to our coffee community, we raised enough funds to secure this essential resource. And if you missed that paw-some update, you can watch the whole journey in this video featuring our co-presidents, Sean & Paul.

Brewing More Than Just Coffee

Coffee is the medium, but our mission is vast. We are committed to ensuring the Rescue, Rehab, and Release program for orphaned bear cubs, irrespective of their species, continues to flourish. But our commitment doesn’t stop there. We have also committed ongoing funds to the purchase of GPS collars for the upcoming release of grizzly cubs. These collars will aid in the research of the release and rehabiliation of bears back into their natural home lands. From this, we hope to learn many things about cub movements, territory, and survival.
